An Article about Timberon in Searchlight NM

At the request of our interim General Manager Mark “Spanky” Harding, a reporter from Searchlight New Mexico,  Michael Benanav, came to Timberon a few weeks ago and interviewed several people in town. He spent a lot of time, talked to several residents, and took a lot of pictures. Unfortunately, I was not at work that day, I would have liked to add my insight, but I think he covered everything well.

One thing he missed, is the resilience of the residents of Timberon despite the various challenges, or maybe because of them. And I kind of took offense at the “Podunk” tag. Timberon is quiet, but not dull and not insignificant. But it’s his article, and he covered our water issues very well, which was the point of the story.
